Top 5 Water parks in the UK

We love everything water related here at Active Water Coolers. With the Summer just around the corner we were curious to know what water parks were available in the UK. They always seem very popular when visiting countries abroad but does the UK cater for the water park fans?

Here are our top 5 water parks in the UK:-

Splashdown, Quay West, Devon, UK

Splashdown Quaywest is the biggest water park in the UK! Located on the coast of the English Riviera’s Goodrington Sands, you’ll be hard pushed to find a water park in the UK with so many slides!

Each slide is given a rating so you are aware how ‘scary’ its going to be. Very helpful in choosing which ones are best for your young kids! A really great choice of slides!

New Forest Water Park – £15 for a 1 hour session

New Forest Aqua Park is a little different to a traditional water park. It is essentially 4000 square metres of fun and unique inflatables! You’ll find trampolines, monkey bars, flippers, slides, hurdles, swings and much more! Its £15 for a one hour session, and although this may sound not along I expect you’ll be absolutely exhausted by the end of it!

Alton Towers Water Park, Stoke on Trent, UK – £16.50

Alton Towers is possible one of the most famous Theme Parks in the UK. However, not many visitors may even realise that it has a really great water park as part of its list of attractions. This water park is kitted out for all ages with a series of fast and slow slides and a whole range of interactive water activities. Don’t expect to have a nice relaxing swim here, it’s purely fun for the family that will keep your kids entertained for hours!

Center Parcs, Wiltshire, UK

Center Parcs in Wiltshire gives a whole different twist to what we deem as a water park. Firstly, its heated all year round at 29.5˚C! That’s right – it’s warm!! When entering the water park you’ll be met by a feeling of subtropical paradise with trees surrounding you at all times. You’ll have the option to have a swim in the wave pool, swoosh down the white water rapids or jump into the freezing plunge pool! Admission is free if you’re staying at Center Parcs or you can pay to spend the day there. Just head over to the Center Parcs official website for prices and further information!
